The Promenade Shops at Briargate is pleased to reveal a yearlong site renovation designed to enhance the outdoor shopping experience in Colorado Springs.
Galloway & Company Architects was hired as lead landscape architect for the overall site renovation with a design focus to improve pedestrian experience and provide inviting plaza spaces. A “streetscape” design at the storefronts now offers much-needed parallel parking, street trees, benches and updated lighting. Other amenities include a large custom water feature at the entry to a new community space and garden planting areas throughout the center.
The most impressive transformation is Galloways’ redesign of Pike’s Peak Patio. Once a seldom-used corner of the center, this large courtyard now a popular destination, featuring a lawn bocce court, fire table with lounge seating, dining patios and a central event space-all with unobstructed mountain views.
The Promenade Shops at Briargate is Colorado Springs’ only upscale outdoor lifestyle Center with convenient parking close to stores, full‐service and fast‐casual restaurants and stunning views of Pikes Peak. The Promenade Shops at Briargate is located off I‐25, exit 151 at Briargate Parkway.
