Colorado Springs, CO  February 1, 2007 – New retailer debuts at The Promenade Shops at Briargate!

Girl of the Golden West, a women’s western wear retailer will be opening their doors at The Promenade Shops at Briargate on Saturday, February 10, 2007.  Featuring distinctive western wear for women, along with home accessories by local artisans and artwork featuring images of the Pikes Peak Region, Girl of the Golden West is a fresh addition to this outdoor center.  Phoebe Schmidt, owner, says that the idea for the store came to her after an unsuccessful shopping trip to find some amusing cowboy boots.  When none were to be found, she decided to start a store featuring interesting women’s western wear.  She will also carry a bit of apparel for men and children, too.  From sequined boots to one-of-a-kind jackets, and custom-designed pieces, you won’t find anything like it in Colorado Springs.  Be sure to check them out on opening day and receive a Goodie Bag!

The Promenade Shops at Briargate is Colorado Springs’ only upscale outdoor lifestyle center with convenient parking close to stores, full-service and fast-casual restaurants and stunning views of Pikes Peak.  The Promenade Shops at Briargate is located off I-25, exit 151 at Briargate Parkway.
